Welcome to the first SASSM Congress

On behalf of the executive committee it is our pleasure to invite you to attend the inaugural congress of the South African Society of Sleep Medicine (SASSM).

We are delighted to have a host of world-renowned International speakers join us including, Professor Sir Neil Douglas the President of The Royal College of Physicians, Professor Adrian J Williams from King’s College, London, Dr Michael Perlis and Dr Peter Fenwick. This is a unique opportunity to, meet colleagues and industry involved in the practice of Sleep Medicine.

The location of the congress at Spier Wine Estate offers a unique experience away from this time-urgent world to relax and enjoy prime scenery, indigenous surroundings and superb service. The on-site social programme promises to keep you entertained and sustained.

The academic aspects of the congress include updates, education, research and presentations from acclaimed speakers in the field of sleep medicine. The clinical and research presentations will cover topics across the speciality such as Sleep Apnoea, Insomnia, Restless Legs Syndrome, The Parasomnias and Childhood Sleep Disorders.
